What a whirlwhind this past six weeks has been. I wanted to thank everyone that has reached out for their support during a tough time for my family. As you may or may not know, my husband's best friend was tragically killed in a car accident Christmas Eve. Since this time, his friends and I have been working hard to put together a fundraiser for his wife and girls (Trina, his wife, is still paralyzed from the accident). The fundraiser was last night and I am excited to say was a complete success!! I was honored to be able to spearhead this amazing event for them on behalf of our/their family and friends. I worked with a friend of mine to put together a tribute video that I would like to share with you below.
I know that this post is not necessarily "pageant related" but I really felt, after all we have been through, to share not only this video about our friends but the lessons that I learned.
Life is too short to hold grudges or be negative towards others.
Work hard to mend those relationships or rectify those things in life that maybe you should.
Apologize to those you have wronged and help someone in need.
Thank you again for everyone's support and love - the outpouring of positive messages from my pageant sisters and the community has been simply amazing and so so appreciated.
MEET THE HAXTON FAMILY - OUR FOREVER FRIENDS.............
