Mrs. Punkin Chunkin United States Advocates for Small Business

Hello everyone, I am your Mrs. Punkin Chunkin United States 2012 and wanted to share with you my platform as a small business advocate. Why be an advocate for small business you may ask. My husband and I own a few small businesses so this is very close to home for me. I'm sure you all have heard about Shop Small Business Saturday; which was held after black Friday this past year. Many people don't realize that it should be small business everyday. It is very vital for our communities, state and country to get out there and help our small businesses. They are the biggest job creators and the backbone of our economy. I want to encourage our citizens to make small business apart of their daily lives. I also want to encourage other small businesses to give help and support to other businesses by joining their local chamber of commerce and local networking groups. Our families, friends and neighbors who have a small business, I have great respect for you, your passion and commitment to your customers, employees and community. Now more than ever Delaware's small businesses need our support to better our lives, community, state, and create more jobs for Delawareans. On January 20, 2012 my husband and I were in attendance for the 40th anniversary Gala Event for the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce. I had the great pleasure to meet with some of our government officials and local business owners.
