Last night I had the pleasure of volunteering at the Tour de
Cure fundraiser at Firestones in Wilmington, Delaware. Joining me was Melissa
Schulte, Mrs. Delmarva 2012, who is also our team captain for our “Virtual”
Team, the Diabeauties. We had a great time helping to sell bracelets during
Firestone’s happy hour, which gave customers great discounts on food. All of
the money we collected will go towards the Tour de Cure, which benefits the
American Diabetes Association. We also had fun with some great “photo ops” with
the patrons. Thank you to Carl Colantuono from the American Diabetes
Association for allowing me to be part of this great event. I look forward to
working with you again in the future to help raise money to stop diabetes!
