Fabulous April with Mrs. Punkin Chunkin United States 2012

Friday April 20, 2012
Attended the Real Charitable Housewives of Delaware's Fundraiser for the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. They put on a 80's themed mom prom. I had a blast helping out a great cause with many other dedicated women. It was also great to see all these ladies get together and have fun. With the Help of over 75 businesses, sponsors, donors, planning committee, and all the attendees; they raised over $7000 for this great foundation. To learn more about the foundation check out their web page: http://www.bepositive.org/

Extremely honored to receive my official pin as a member of the MOT Rotary Club.

What is Rotary you may wonder. Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The main objective of Rotary is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.

The Rotary motto is Service Above Self. I would love for you to join us for our weekly lunch meeting. The MOT Rotary meets every Wednesday at 12:15 for lunch at the Frog Hollow Golf Club
1 Whittington Way Middletown, De.

Here are some photos from my pining ceremony:

Had a great experience with my first service as a Rotarian today. The MOT Rotary planted trees in Middletown, Odessa, and Townsend for Arbor Day. Arbor Day was Friday April 27th.

We planted a tree for each of the members of our club. I brought my two year old daughter along to teach her about helping others and giving back to your community.

Its never to early or to late to get out there and give back.

Kindest Regards,

Shannon Lewis
