Mrs. Delaware United States meets Mrs. World

Thanks to a good friend and former Mrs. Delaware America Shana Williams, I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. World 2012, April Lufriu.  April is the proud mother of two.  She is currently the spokesperson for the Foundation Fighting Blindness and in this role has been ability to utilize the television, magazines and social media to raise awareness about Retinitis Pigmentosa (retinal degenerative eye disease that results in blindness) that affects her and her children. 

 

It was wonderful spend an evening out with April, just getting to know her ‘beyond the crown’ and I’ve been so inspired by her passion for life, family and advocacy.
